ATA- 30 Adhesive
ATA-30 is a two-component, high tack-strength epoxy adhesive specifically developed for the installation of vibration damping materials, such as Soundown Damping Tiles.
Clamping or shoring is generally eliminated, as ATA-30 adhesive will support in weight excess of 25kg/m2(5lbs/ft2) on overhead and vertical surfaces while curing takes place. ATA-30 is excellent for grouting between damping tile or sheet and for forming fillets at welds or seams. ATA30 is nontoxic, contains no solvents, and has minimal release of fumes or odors, making it usable in confined spaces. It is also resistant to fresh water, salt water, crude and refined oils, gasoline, jet fuel, and most other likely contaminants.
ATA30 does not require any special tools for mixing or application. The resin (white) and hardener (black) are mixed at a ratio of 1:1 until a consistent grey color is achieved. For Damping tile installation, this mixture is applied with an 1/8" x 1/8" notched trowel, followed by the tiles.
